Indian eves qualify for 2014 Word T20

Indian women qualified for the 2014 World Twenty20 registering a nine-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the qualifiers on Wednesday. India’s left-arm spinner Ekta Bisth also achieved a rare hat-trick in the game in Colombo.

Batting first, Sri Lanka were restricted to 100/8 in 20 overs, with Ekta scalping three wickets and rasanara Parwin bagging two.

In reply Poonam Raut led the reply scoring an unbeaten 45 and India achieved the target in 14.4 overs losing one wicket.

Along with India, South Africa too qualified defeating Pakistan by five wickets.
